Our Scheduling Philosophy
We are grateful that you chose Dover Pediatric Dentistry for your children’s dental care. We are also appreciative of the time you’ve taken out of your busy schedule to attend their dental appointments. That’s why we’ve crafted a scheduling policy that is very different from most dental and medical offices.
- We Do Not Double Book Patients – Most dental and medical offices over schedule or “double book” appointments in order to maximize income. At Dover Pediatric Dentistry, we believe that the appointment you’ve booked should be your time. It’s a time where the doctor or hygienist can totally focus on your child’s needs and fully answer any questions you may have. We believe that over booking creates a rushed, impersonal, factory-like atmosphere that negatively affects the quality of care, increases stress and hampers our ability to effectively communicate with parents and patients.
- We Run On Time – We recognize one of the biggest challenges of parenthood is juggling schedules between work, school, sports, and doctor’s appointments. We value your time. If we expect patients to be on time for their appointments, it’s only fair that we should be on time for that same appointment. We make every effort to see our patients at the time they are scheduled. Occasionally we may have a emergency patient that needs immediate attention however, if we are ever more than 5 minutes late for your child’s appointment, please ask to speak to our patient coordinator.

Our office works with most dental insurance companies. If we do not participate directly with an insurance company, we will gladly submit any claims directly to the insurance company as a courtesy to our patients.
